The question I couldn't shake after TEDx

Reader,

Someone asked me something backstage after TEDx that I haven't been able to stop thinking about.

"How do you know when you're ready?"

She wasn't asking about the talk.

She was asking about everything else — the visibility moves, the bold positioning, the rooms she wants to step into but keeps second-guessing.

And honestly?

I didn't have a clean answer.

Because here's what I've learned working with leaders who are building real authority — readiness isn't about having all the followers. It's not about the perfect LinkedIn headline or the flawless pitch deck.

It's about getting clear on who you are when nobody's validating it.

The leaders I admire most?

They're not waiting for permission to show up as authorities in their space. They're building influence based on what they know to be true about their work — not what the metrics say about their platform.

That's the conversation I want to have on April 9 at After the Stage.

Not the polished LinkedIn version of leadership.

The real one.

The one where we talk about what happens when you step into bigger rooms and the followers don't follow. When you're positioning yourself as an authority and the engagement doesn't match the expertise.

When you're building something that matters and the metrics say nobody cares.

Because those moments? They're where REAL leadership gets tested.

And they're exactly what we don't talk about enough.

12 seats left for this intimate evening — wine, conversation, and the kind of honest dialogue that rarely happens in public spaces.

If you've been second-guessing your next move because the external validation isn't matching your internal knowing, this is your room.

P.S. — Next email, I'm sharing what happened when I stopped building for applause and started building for impact. It changed everything about how I show up.

Reader, Real talk. Last few days of the quarter. And let me guess — you're feeling stressed. Overwhelmed. Lagging a bit. Here's what I need you to hear: You're not behind. Your time is just being spent in the wrong places. Most consultants aren't failing because they lack ideas or strategy. They're stuck because hours disappear into content creation, inbox management, and repetitive admin work that should take minutes — not half your day. You already know what needs to happen. You can see the...

Hey Heyyy Reader, Let me tell you what I’ve watched play out over in the last 12 months. A consultant decides it’s finally time to get serious about their visibility. They invest in AI tools — the good ones. They build a content system. They start showing up consistently across platforms. The output is cranking. The content calendar is full. And three months in, they message me some version of: “I’m doing all the things. Why isn’t it working?” Here’s what I tell them: AI can write your...

TGIF Reader, Can I be honest with you for a second? When I started pulling together the guest list for After the Stage, I wasn’t just thinking about filling seats. I was thinking about WHO needs to be in the room. The women who are doing the work but questioning if they’re being seen for it. The leaders who are expanding their influence but wondering if they’re doing it right. The founders who know they’re onto something — but haven’t found THEIR people yet. That’s YOU. And the room is...
